สกุลเดสโมพุนชัส (อังกฤษ: Striped barb, Banded barb) เป็นสกุลของปลาน้ำจืดขนาดเล็กสกุลหนึ่ง ในวงศ์ปลาตะเพียน (Cyprinidae) ใช้ชื่อสกุลว่า Desmopuntius (/เดส-โม-พุน-ชัส/)
คำว่า Desmopuntius มาจากภาษากรีกคำว่า δεσμωτες (desmotes) แปลว่า "นักโทษ" หรือ "เชลย" และคำว่า Puntius ซึ่งเป็นชื่อสกุลเก่า มีความหมายถึง ลวดลายบนตัวปลาที่เหมือนชุดนักโทษ มีลักษณะเด่นทางกายภาค คือ ขอบด้านท้ายของก้านครีบแข็งที่ครีบหลังเป็นซี่จักร ริมฝีปากบาง มีหนวดสองคู่เห็นชัดเจน เกล็ดในแนวข้างลำตัวมีท่อเรียงกันสมบูรณ์ถึงฐานครีบหางจำนวนระหว่าง 25-27 เกล็ด
