สกุลเจตมูลเพลิง (ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์: Plumbago) เป็นสกุลของพืชที่มีสมาชิก 10-20 สปีชีส์ในวงศ์ Plumbaginaceae พบในเขตอบอุ่นและเขตร้อน ชื่อสกุลมาจากภาษาละติน plumbum ("ตะกั่ว") และ agere ("to resemble") ใช้ครั้งแรกโดย Pliny the Elder (23-79) กับพืชชื่อ μολυβδαινα (molybdaina) to (ca. 40-90). ซึ่งหมายถึงสีดอกที่เหมือนสีตะกั่ว[] ยางที่ทำให้เกิดสีตะกั่วบนผิวหนัง หรือจากความเชื่อของพลินีว่าพืชนี้ใช้รักษาพิษตะกั่ว
