ปลาค็อด (อังกฤษ: cod) เป็นชื่อสามัญของสกุล จากวงศ์ ปลาค็อดยังใช้เป็นชื่อสามัญปลาอื่น ๆ อีกหลายชนิด และปลาชนิดหนึ่งที่อยู่ในสกุล Gadus มักไม่เรียกว่าปลาค็อด (, Gadus chalcogrammus)

ปลาค็อดที่พบบ่อยที่สุดสองชนิดคือ (Gadus morhua) ซึ่งอาศัยอยู่ในน่านน้ำเย็นและบริเวณใต้ทะเลลึกตลอดมหาสมุทรแอตแลนติกเหนือ และ (Gadus macrocephalus) ซึ่งพบได้ทั้งในพื้นที่ตะวันออกและตะวันตกของตอนเหนือของมหาสมุทรแปซิฟิก
