กระทงลาย หรือกระทุงลาย หรือหมากแตก (ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์: Celastrus paniculatus; ภาษาสันสกฤต: jyotishmati ज्योतीष्मती, ภาษาฮินดี: Mal-kangani माल-कांगनी, ภาษาจีน: deng you teng 灯油藤) เป็นพืชในวงศ์ Celastraceae เป็นพืชที่พบในอินเดีย และในประเทศไทย เป็นไม้เลื้อย ใบเดี่ยว ดอกช่อ ออกที่ปลายกิ่งหรือซอกใบ ดอกแยกเพศ แยกต้น ดอกตัวผู้มีฐานรองดอกรูปถ้วย กลีบดอกสีเขียว ผลกลม แห้งแตก เมล็ดมีเยื่อสีน้ำตาลแดงหรือแดงสด ยอดอ่อนลวกรับประทานกับน้ำพริก ลำต้นใช้เป็นส่วนผสมในยารักษาโรคมาลาเรีย โรคบิด หรือใช้เป็นยากระตุ้นประสาท เมล็ดมีน้ำมัน คั้นมาทำน้ำมันใส่ หรือใช้นวดให้กล้ามเนื้อคลายตัว ในอินเดียใช้น้ำมันของพืชนี้เป็นยา สารสกัดด้วยน้ำจากเมล็ดช่วยเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพของความจำ เมล็ดรับประทานไม่ได้ ทำให้ระคายคอ
