ปลาไบรคอน หรือ ปลาเทราต์อเมริกาใต้ (อังกฤษ: South American trout) เป็นสกุลของปลาน้ำจืดที่อยู่ในวงศ์ปลาคาราซิน (Characidae) จัดอยู่ในสกุล Brycon
มีขนาดยาวเต็มที่ 12–80 เซนติเมตร (4.7–31.5 นิ้ว) มีรูปร่างคล้ายกับ ซึ่งเป็นปลาต่างวงศ์และอันดับกัน และมิได้มีอะไรเกี่ยวข้องกัน แต่นับเป็นปลาจำพวกหนึ่งที่มีขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดของวงศ์ปลาคาราซิน เป็นปลาที่อาศัยอยู่รวมกันเป็นฝูง พบกระจายพันธุ์ตามแม่น้ำสายใหญ่ ๆ ในทวีปอเมริกาใต้ เช่น แม่น้ำแอมะซอน เป็นปลากินพืชเป็นอาหาร สามารถกินเมล็ดพืชที่หล่นลงน้ำในช่วงที่น้ำหลากหรือน้ำท่วมป่าได้ด้วย โดยสามารถกระโดดขึ้นงับจากผิวน้ำได้สูงถึง 4 เท่าของความยาวลำตัว
