ยาฆ่าแมลง เป็นสารที่ใช้ฆ่า กำจัด หรือลดการแพร่พันธุ์ของแมลง ยาฆ่าแมลงใช้ในการเกษตรกรรม, การแพทย์, อุตสาหกรรม และใช้ในครัวเรือน การใช้ยาฆ่าแมลงเชื่อว่าเป็นปัจจัยหนึ่งที่ช่วยเพิ่มผลผลิตทางการเกษตรในศตวรรษที่ 20 ยาฆ่าแมลงเกือบทุกชนิดมีผลข้างเคียงกับระบบนิเวศ ยาฆ่าแมลงหลายชนิดเป็นอันตรายกับมนุษย์^[]
