Zygentoma เป็นอันดับหนึ่งในชั้นแมลง ซึ่งมีสปีชีส์ที่รู้จักประมาณ 550 ชนิด อันดับ Zygentoma ประกอบด้วย แมลงที่เรียกว่า หรือ ฟิชมอธ และ ลักษณะที่เด่นชัดของอันดับนี้คือมีสามเส้นที่ยาว โดยเส้นใยด้านข้างสองเส้นคือ (cerci) และเส้นใยตรงกลางคือ หรือ appendix dorsalis ลักษณะนี้คล้ายกับกลุ่ม Archaeognatha แต่เซอร์ซีของ Zygentoma นั้นยาวเกือบเท่าอีพิโพรคต์ ต่างจาก Archaeognatha ที่เซอร์ซีสั้นกว่า
