ลักษณะทางพฤกศาสตร์
N. deaniana ไม่เหมือนกับหม้อข้าวหม้อแกงลิงชนิดอื่น มันไม่ใช่ไม้เลื้อยไต่ ลำต้นสูง 20 ถึง 30 ซม. กว้าง 4 ถึง 5 ซม. เกลี้ยงไม่มีขน ต้นไม้แพร่พันธุ์โดยหน่อ ใบรูปใบหอกหรือรูปไข่กลับ ยาว 6 ถึง 12 ซม.กว้าง 3.5 ถึง 4 ซม. มีเส้นใบตามยาวแบบร่างแหไม่สม่ำเสมอ 4 ถึง 5 เส้น สายดิ่งยาว 10 ถึง 15 ซม.
หม้อรูปกรวยหงาย สูง 6 ถึง 9 ซม.กว้าง 2.3 ถึง 3.5 ซม. เพอริสโตมทรงกระบอกกว้าง 5 ถึง 8 มม. มีฟันสอบเรียวยาวที่ผิวขอบด้านใน ฝารูปหัวใจกว้าง
ช่อดอกเพศผู้ยาว 15 ถึง 20 ซม.อาจมีขนสั้นนุ่มถึงเกลี้ยงไม่มีขน ก้านดอกย่อยมี 1 ดอก ในแต่ละดอกมี 4 กลีบเลี้ยงและ 8
