หญ้าชะเงา(ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์: Enhalus acoroides) เป็นหญ้าทะเลที่มีขนาดใหญ่ที่สุด ขึ้นเป็นกอสูง 1 เมตร มี 2-5 ใบ ใบแบนยาว แตกขึ้นมาจากไรโซม ก้านดอกยาว ม้วนงอเหมือนสปริง พบได้ทั้งบริเวณน้ำกร่อยและทะเล เป็นพืชท้องถิ่นในมหาสมุทรอินเดียและมหาสมุทรแปซิฟิกฝั่งตะวันตก ในตำรายาไทยใช้เป็นยาฟอกโลหิต ขับน้ำเหลืองเสีย แก้ลมในลำไส้
