สงครามบอสเนีย

สงครามบอสเนีย เป็นสงครามความขัดแย้งชาติพันธุ์ระหว่างชาวโครแอตที่เป็นคาทอลิก ชาวเซิร์บที่นับถือนิกายออร์ทอดอกซ์ และชาวบอสนีแอกซึ่งเป็นชาวมุสลิม สงครามปะทุในวันที่ 6 เมษายน ค.ศ. 1992 เมื่อกองกำลังเซิร์บเริ่มโจมตีกรุงซาราเยโว หลังชาวเซิร์บก่อจลาจลเพื่อแยกตัวเป็นอิสระ ในขณะเดียวกันชาวโครแอตก็แยกดินแดนเป็นอิสระเช่นเดียวกัน ในช่วงสัปดาห์เดียวบอสเนียเกือบทั้งประเทศกลายเป็นทะเลเพลิง
