น้ำเต้า (ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์: Lagenaria siceraria) คือพืชล้มลุกชนิดหนึ่งที่อยู่ในตระกูลแตง อยู่ในวงศ์ Cucurbitaceae
น้ำเต้ามีถิ่นกำเนิดอยู่ในทวีปแอฟริกาตอนใต้ เป็นไม้เถาล้มลุกอายุปีเดียว พบได้ในทั่วไปในทุกภาคของประเทศไทย มีหลายสายพันธุ์ เช่น น้ำเต้าทรงเซียน นิยมทำเป็นเครื่องประดับ น้ำเต้าขมไม่นิยมปลูกหาได้ยาก ส่วนใหญ่ปลูกเพื่อทำเป็นยาเท่านั้น ในทางสมุนไพรชาวอินเดียจะใช้ผลของน้ำเต้าในการประกอบอาหารให้ผู้ช่วยโรคเบาหวานและความดันโลหิตสูงรับประทาน และในประเทศจีนมีการรับประทานน้ำเต้าเพื่อควบคุมเบาหวาน สรรพคุณเป็นยาเย็นและชื้น มีประโยชน์สำหรับผู้ป่วยโรคหัวใจและชราภาพ
